Our Promise
To enhance people’s self-awareness, creativity, self-organization capacity and entrepreneurship through facilitating action learning process for the renaissance of communities, private and public institutions in Africa.
In supporting innovation, Novafrica is itself innovative. It believes that by shunning conventional approaches to development, the organisation is empowered to innovate, explore alternative ideas and be responsive to ideas and methods of working that come from the people.
This approach responds to increasingly urgent demands for new development frameworks and approaches that put communities first.
President Thabo Mbeki, in defining a vision for development in South Africa, called for the creation of development facilitators that clearly understand the needs of communities. These facilitators, he said, should nurture and allow flourishing the entrepreneurial potential of rural communities.
Novafrica provides training, facilitation, coaching and mentoring to development practitioners in the following core thematic areas:

The organisation is committed to ensuring that the issues of equality and equity, governance and HIV/AIDS are explored and addressed in all of its activities and programmes.
